Ічіро Дуго

He is a first-year high school student and a member of the Earth Defense Club. He is the club's mood maker, possessing an unfailingly cheerful disposition. He gives his all in everything he does and tends to charge ahead recklessly. He isn't particularly bright, but he manages to get by thanks to his natural drive and good nature; those around him seem to have simply accepted his lack of intellectual prowess. He has a habit of repeating a single word three times—saying things like "Awesome, awesome, awesome!" or "Seriously, seriously, seriously!?" He often clashes with his classmate Taishi Manza—likely due to their polar-opposite personalities—leading to frequent, fruitless arguments. However, they aren't actually on bad terms; they often spend time together, and Manza secretly envies Dougo’s reckless, full-speed-ahead attitude. During the school festival's dice game, he blushed furiously while carrying out a mission assigned to him by Manza: reciting a line that sounded suspiciously like a confession of love. He is cousins with fellow first-year and student council secretary Maasa Shirahone, making him one of the few people who knows about Shirahone's past. Perhaps because of this, Shirahone views him with hostility, fearing he might accidentally blurt out secrets about that past; Doguo, however, remains oblivious to this and treats Shirahone in a friendly manner. He looks up to his upperclassman, Nanao Wakura. His admiration began when he was once trying to reinvent his persona into that of a "pretentious, high-minded type"; Wakura looked at him with intense, passionate eyes and told him, "Please, just stay exactly as you are." His admiration is so strong that Wakura's teasing and snide remarks seem to go completely over his head.
